I just wanted to reach out to Dr. Carl DuCharme and thank him for the exceptional care he gave my mother while in the hospital in Naples Fl. She was admitted with COVID and unfortunately had numerous complications while hospitalized. Other hospitalists wanted us to make her a DNR and repeatedly told me she would not get better. Dr. DuCharme was the only one that made me feel there was hope. We just celebrated her 80th birthday with her 4 sisters. Mom has been released from Occupational therapy and Physical Therapy saying she has had the most miraculous recovery her therapist had seen in 10 years. I felt it would be important for me to let Dr. DuCharme know how well she is doing. Please thank Dr. DuCharme for all his dedication to caring for my mother and seeing her as a whole patient and not just another number affected by this pandemic.
