Alzheimer’s is a progressive, irreversible disease of the brain affecting millions of older, American adults. The risk for Alzheimer’s increases with age, but most commonly affects individuals over 65. Common symptoms of Alzheimer’s include loss of memory, delusions, agitation, inability to engage in activities and loss of self-care. Due to the loss of independence, Alzheimer’s disease not only affects the individual but also significantly impacts family and caregivers involved.

The Alzheimer’s Association helps provide necessary resources to caregivers and also helps advance research.  Below is a link with additional information on this disease and ways to keep your brain healthy.
